Poon's London X Yuet Tung Porcelain Gift Hamper

Established in 1928, Yuet Tung is the last remaining hand-painted porcelain factory in Hong Kong. The artists here specialise in “Guangcai,” a technique dating from the Qing Dynasty, associated with vibrant colours and refined craftsmanship. I don’t remember how I discovered Yuet Tung but my first pilgrimage over 10 years ago formed an itch that will forever need scratching! I was looking for a Kitchen God when I met Joseph Tso, whose grandfather started the business. It is, like us, very much a family affair. I enlisted the help of Martina Tso, Joseph’s daughter, to work with me on a small production of dishes for Poon’s. Taking motifs from our sauce labels, we have produced a limited edition of dipping dishes with matching spoons.
