Our three newest sauces, and something to carry them home in. All three won at least two stars in the Great Taste awards in 2026, and the Doubanjiang took three stars.

Soy Bean Doubanjiang (160g). Great Taste 3 Stars, 2026. Deep, savoury and gently spiced. Spoon it over chilled silken tofu, or use it as the base of a mapo tofu or a braise.

Fermented Soy Bean Paste (160g). Great Taste 2 Stars, 2026. "Complex, competent and powerful." Stir it into marinades, noodles and slow-cooked meat.

Everything Everywhere Sauce (160g). Great Taste 2 Stars, 2026. "Sublime" (The Times). The everyday all-rounder.

How To Use

Soy Bean Doubanjiang: fry a spoonful in hot oil until the oil turns red and smells toasty, then build the dish on top. Use it in mapo tofu, twice-cooked pork and dan dan noodles. Away from Chinese cooking, stir it into butter for steak, or into a ragù or braise. It's salty, so add it before any salt or soy sauce.

Fermented Soy Bean Paste: the Chinese counterpart to miso. Fry a spoonful in hot oil for 30 seconds, then add the rest of the dish. Stir it into braised pork belly, beef or aubergine, or use it as the base of zhajiang mian. Use it instead of soy sauce, not as well as.

Everything Everywhere Sauce: spoon it over grilled meats, fried rice, noodles and vegetables, or mix it into dips and marinades.
